High Performance Select
Sundays
9:00 am to 12:00 pm (3hrs)
Starts: July 1, 2018

Dates: 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29, 8/5, 8/12, 8/19
Location: SCJTL Training Center - 74 Hauppauge Rd., Commack
Make-ups: Posted if necessary.
8 Sessions: $550
6 Sessions: $475
Waiting list fill-in: $90/session.

Players must have attended the SCJTL Player Assessment and Tryout to qualify for High Performance Select.

Registration may be available in some sessions to qualified players.

  2. Enroll for the Free SCJTL Player Development Assessment and Tryout first..
  3. Register for the SCJTL High Performance Player Development program after assessmment from SCJTL Head Coaches.

SCJTL High Performance Program:

The SCJTL High Performance Training Program is designed with strong technical focus combined with fitness and tactical components

Tennis Mechanics/Form - All Tennis Strokes - Court Movement
Getting junior tennis players to move like the pro's using developmental progressions.

Great offseason training for college varsity tennis players.

High Performance Skill Development:
Group based intense focus on developing technical skills and form based on USTA Player Development guidelines.
All -Court game skills:
-Offense/ defense, point building zone shots
-Transition pressure zone shots.
-Volley/ point ending zone shots.
-Proper advanced serve/return technique.
-Movment technique to support successful high level compettion results.
-Practice/ self training methods and regiment to support High Performance play.

High Performance Select:
High intensity training designed to ehnace comopetition skills.
Limited size group selected by SCJTL Player Development Coaches.
Session includes:
High Intensity training of all court skills.
Fitness/ movement training for high intensity successful competition.
Short score format match play training early match lead.

The design of the SCJTL High Performance program centers on students gaining:

1. Proper training and understanding of pre- and post-match warm-up and recovery techniques.
2. Training of the importance of specific fitness training for tennis. 
3. The awareness of good technical fundamentals of tennis movement and strokes
necessary to practice purposefully for improvement.
4. A foundation for building an individual style of play.

Open to: SCJTL Skill Level: 50+
Player Skill level Advanced players over 12 years old with experience in top position on school team and/or USTA tournament experience.
Player qualification and program placement are detemined by SCJTL Coaches with consideration of benefit to player current developmental stage and progam objectives.
Varsity level (All-Division, All-County, All-State) experienced players.
USTA Level 3, 2, 1 tournament experienced players.
USTA Regional and Sectional ranked players.

Most important: Players who are committed to follow a tennis training program that will help get them to play like top level players!

2017 SCJTL Indoor High Performance at Sportime Kings Park:
SCJTL partners with Sportime Kings Park to offer High Performance Training Indoors
Overview: Through our strong relationship with Sportime Kings Park, SCJTL is now providing a high performance indoor training program for the first time. 
Jimmy and I will be directing the program under USTA High Performance guidelines specifically for experienced tournament players.

Description: This program has been designed to maximize performance in competition at a school and tournament level.  All areas of player development will be covered including: fitness, skill development, tactics, match preparation and tournament management.

Directors: The Program will be directed by 2 National High Performance Coaches: Joe Arias, Jimmy Delevante.
Eligibility: Players must be 12-18 years and have tournament experience. 
Non-SCJTL members must try-out by appointment to be accepted into the program. 
Players currently enrolled in an SCJTL High Performance Session are eligible without try out.
