The SCJTL Summer Tennis League Green Division (formerly White Division) is a competitive entry level and Middle School division for kids ages 11 thru 13. It is ideal for new to intermediate level middle school students offering the experiences of actually "playing" tennis with their peers, preparing them with competition experience while developing an enjoyment for tennis. New players in this age group are welcome!

Competitive entry level and Middle School division. Ideal for new to intermediate level middle school age kids. Live ball format with peers offers the experiences of actually "playing" tennis preparing your players for competition experience while developing an enjoyment for tennis. Many White Division players play on or are preparing to tryout for Middle School Tennis teams.
School Varsity tennis, USTA level 3 and 2 players.
Ideal for players may have played tournament level matches.
Many Green Division players play on or are preparing to tryout for Middle School Tennis teams
players work on competition and tactical skills with their peers on 78' full size tennis courts and a combinatuion of Green-Dot and Yellow balls.
New players in this age group are welcome!

Kids ages 11 thru 13 learn and improve tennis skills using the USTA Top Ten games and rally progressions. Volley and Serve/Return skills emphasized
Players learn tactics by playing games including singles and doubles.
Rules of tennis and how to practice with others included in every training theme..
Training format develop and supervised by 2 USTA National Coaches and Specialist in Competitive Player Development.
Summer Tennis League session includes:
Agility-Balance-Coordination skill development.
Live-ball all-court hitting warm-up.
Tennis training theme of the day.
Tennis skills progressions
Skills games - Junior Team Tennis
Court & Site tournaments.
Ladder match play.

SCJTL Challenge Day Prep
Green Division Format
Players work on match play skills and experience by playing challenge matches and games against members of school tennis teams from all over Suffolk County.
Activities are age and skill level specific.
2 skill groups:
- Green Dot / 78 ft. court
- Yellow Ball / 78 ft. court.
Includes:
Tactical games
Singles and doubles.
Site Team Matches.
Challenge Day Team Tournament Prep.
Activities include tennis skill building team drills and Game Based tactical skill building games including: USTA nationally recognized Top 10 Games.
Green Division player development instructional units combined with drills and match topics covered weekly play offer junior tennis players the opportunity to improve their game.
SCJTL site ladder match play standings posted weekly.
Site staff is made up of experienced school tennis and tournament experienced players trained to help players improve their skills.
Please note:
Players are grouped according to experience and skill level evaluated by Site Director.
Court sizes and balls may be used according to session teaching theme
and objectives.
Friends can play in the same groups together, regardless of experience, managed by the Site Director!

Program culminating event for players whose registration includes Challenge Day.
Challenge Day is a Team Tournament event for Summer Tennis League, White (Green Dot ) and Advanced White (Yellow) ball players. Everyone plays!
Players will
experience team competition for Challenge medals and Challenge Site Cup points against all other SCJTL Summer Tennis League sites.
Challenge Competition medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Players will receive their SCJTL program medal at the end of the Challenge and meet receive SCJTL program and Challenge Day medals are distributed after the games.
